Day 24 - Tewksbury to Pershore

Friday 1st August - 13 miles, 3 locks

The famous M5 bridge with Bredon Hill and Church behind
Feeling better today. Moved off fairly early in order to get a mooring at Pershore and beat the showers that are forecast for this afternoon. Uneventful cruise had to remember how to work locks after having more than a week with lock keepers doing all the work.

Had the last space on moorings, showers arrived so watched Commonwealth games and started jigsaw I bought in Black Country Museum.

Dried up in the evening had a walk round town and popped into the Brandy Cask - the landlord and landlady are still there they have not retired to Wales as they told us they were doing last year. Even more amazing John the frail old man we spoke to last year is still there sat in the same seat.

Walked across the field to the boat only to be surprised by a black lab that made us jump!
