Day 20 - Quedgely Wharf to Gloucester Docks

Monday 28th July - 4 miles

Ice from the fridge
Cruised back to Gloucester fairly early start as we wanted to be back in the docks by midday due to locking restrictions due to dredging and we were in desperate need of a Sainsbury shop. Got to Sainsbury's to find the moorings full. Paul moored three times eventually finding a spot outside the shop while I shopped. Paul removed a huge amount of ice from the fridge that he was very happy about.

High Orchard bridge by Sainsbury's raised for a cruiser
Just made it to a pontoon before boats came up through the lock at midday.

After a very nice fresh salad lunch we wandered to Gloucester Quays outlet - Paul armed with a shopping list which he actually managed to complete amazing - even down to thin waterproof gloves.

Gloucester Cathedral in the evening sun

Walked around to the cathedral in the evening - a lot of shops in the city centre are empty.
